ASOS Adaptive is the brand’s first adaptive collection, bringing ASOS’ fashion-led approach to Disabled customers through a new 51-option range spanning womenswear, menswear and curve.
Designed in partnership with accessibility consultancy Tilting the Lens and co-created with Disabled people, the collection combines contemporary silhouettes and trend-led design with considered adaptive functionality. In research conducted by ASOS and Tilting the Lens, 86% of participants cited comfort and fit as leading purchase motivators, with style-led occasion wear highlighted as a particular gap in the market.
Available globally, the ASOS Adaptive collection brings a fashion-led approach to adaptive dressing, spanning statement occasion wear, contemporary tailoring and elevated everyday essentials. Draped maxis, graphic and abstract prints, soft jersey dresses and sleek tailoring sit at the heart of the collection, with adaptive features carefully integrated into each design, from magnetic fastenings and discreet hidden zips to tube access, concealed pockets and adjusted proportions for seated wearers.
For womenswear, occasion wear is a particular focus, with fluid, draped silhouettes designed to discreetly incorporate adaptive functionality. Highlights include a graphic-print mesh maxi with a concealed pocket beneath the front drape and tube access through the side seams, as well as an abstract-print sleeveless maxi with a hidden pocket for discreet device storage and a light olive tie-front dress, where draping and a fastening-free construction supports easier dressing.
Tailoring spans both womenswear and menswear, reworked through an adaptive lens. Across cropped and collarless blazers, waistcoats, wide-leg trousers and classic suiting, features include magnetic fastenings, stretch linings, elasticated waistbands and discreet access points. Selected trousers feature a contoured waistband with a higher back rise and shortened front rise for customers who spend extended periods seated, while selected jackets have shortened lengths and softer construction for comfort and ease of movement.
Everyday pieces complete the collection, including smart shirts, knitted polos, moisture-wicking breathe MAX T-shirts and adaptive accessories, with features such as magnetic closures, wider necklines, discreet tube access, hook-and-loop fastenings and stretch incorporated into familiar wardrobe staples.
Vanessa Spence, EVP Brand & Creative at ASOS said:
“ASOS has always been about helping customers discover the styles that feel like them. With this collection, we wanted to bring that same fashion-led approach to a category where Disabled customers have historically had fewer choices. Across everything from occasion dresses and tailoring to everyday pieces, we’ve considered style and adaptive functionality together from the outset.”
Sinéad Burke, Founder and CEO of Tilting The Lens said:
“True inclusion in fashion starts with co-design. By working with Disabled people and embedding lived experience throughout the process, brands can create clothing that is not only more accessible, but more desirable, considered and relevant. This collection shows what can happen when functionality and fashion are developed together from the beginning.”
ASOS Adaptive launches globally on 24 September 2026, available exclusively on ASOS website with prices ranging from £32 (~$42.30) – £65 (~$85.93).
