Istanbul Apparel Conference to stun with ‘Redefine, Realign, Re-Fashion’ theme

Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association (TGSD) has been organizing Istanbul Apparel Conference for 17 years in a row that has been attended each year by more than a thousand participants consisting of industry professionals, experts, academia as well as local and foreign government officials, said a recent press release.

Istanbul Apparel Conference to stun with ‘Redefine, Realign, Re-Fashion’ theme

The release stated that the 17th Istanbul Apparel Conference will take place on October 16 and 17 this year. The Conference will be held at Çıragan Palace Kempinski. The main theme is determined to be “Redefine, Realign, Re-Fashion”.

This year we will discuss the changing management styles of businesses, biotechnology and new generation materials, traceability, digital product passport, new legal regulations in the world, the impact of changing consumer demands on production and fashion with a sustainable, environmentally friendly approach and finally, digital technologies with a focus on artificial intelligence.

On the second day of our Conference, brands and purchasing groups representing hundreds of global brands will meet local manufacturers in a B2B network event and have the opportunity to establish new business connections. Last year more than 1.500 meetings were held on appointment basis.

Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association (TGSD) was established in 1976 to support the growth and development of the apparel industry by providing guidance, promoting the businesses overseas and getting manufacturers cooperate with each other.

With annual production volume of USD 33,6 billion, total exports of USD 19,2 billion and total employment of almost 1 million (jointly with textile industry), garment manufacturing is one of the leading industries within the Turkish economy.

TGSD has 450 members that account for 70% of Türkiye’s apparel export in value. TGSD captures the whole supply chain end-to-end and, is the largest network for apparel and textile companies in Türkiye.
