In honor of Maison Valentino’s namesake and founder, Valentino Garavani, the exhibition titled “Forever Valentino” will be shown at Qatar Museums. This will be the Maison Valentino’s largest exhibition to date and its first presentation in the Middle East.

Within the M7 design and innovation hub, which is situated in Msheireb Downtown Doha, the exhibition ‘Forever Valentino’ will be on display between the dates of October 28, 2022 and April 1, 2023 as a component of the year-round national cultural movement Qatar Creates. The brand explains that the show will be a “theatrical experience,” which will explore the Haute Couture codes of the fashion house while also taking visitors on a journey through Rome, Valentino’s home, the city where everything began and where its identity is rooted.

Valentino Garavani will celebrate his 90th birthday alongside the launch of the Valentino autumn/winter 2022 Haute Couture collection in Rome, which will also take place at the same time as the opening.

Valentino stated in a statement that the show will bring a “dream-like” image of Rome to Doha, bringing audiences in and out of palazzos, squares, and courtyards. This information was provided by Valentino. While also providing access to “secluded, personal areas” such as the famed Valentino Ateliers, the storied archives of the Maison, and the fitting salons located in the fabled headquarters of Piazza Mignanelli, among other places. Massimiliano Gioni, the artistic director of the New Museum in New York, and Alexander Fury, a fashion critic and author, along with Pierpaolo Piccioli, the creative director of Valentino, are the individuals responsible for the exhibition’s curation. More than two hundred haute couture items and ready-to-wear ensembles will be shown on mannequins by La Rosa as part of the primary perspective, which will investigate the codes of Valentino and the techniques of haute couture.

The Valentino outfits will be accompanied by accessories and fashion pieces that will be shown in an immersive scenography. This scenography will weave beautifully textured images of Rome into which will be inlaid “secret memories” from Valentino’s history spanning six decades. This will contain ensembles that are rarely seen that were intended for famous people such as Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Zendaya, who is more contemporary.

In addition, the exhibition will feature ensembles from the private collection of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, who has been a client of Valentino for a very long time. On October 28, an exhibition titled “Forever Valentino” will make its debut at M7 in Doha, Qatar.
