Amazon to end ‘Try Before You Buy’ clothing service this month

The Try Before You Buy program, which allowed customers to try on up to six clothing items for free for a week, is being discontinued by Amazon. After 31st January, the service will no longer be accessible.

The business allowed customers to choose up to six pieces of clothes, along with accessories, jewellery, and shoes, and gave them seven days to decide whether or not to keep them. Following that try-on period, clients were only billed for the goods they kept. Formerly called Prime Wardrobe, the service was frequently likened to Stitch Fix.

An Amazon spokesperson explained that the program was only available for a limited selection of items, and customers are increasingly relying on AI-powered features like virtual try-on, personalised size recommendations, review highlights, and enhanced size charts to find the right fit.
