Misto Group announced on the 28th that it opened Muscent’s first store in Taipei, Taiwan, on September 24. Taipei is a hub leading Taiwan’s fashion and cultural trends, home to a diverse array of global and local fashion brands. High local interest was confirmed as many consumers visited the store from the opening day. Through this store opening, the company plans to secure a connection with local Taiwanese consumers and expand Muscent’s brand awareness and local business base.

Muscent is a brand that combines the Chinese character ‘Mu,’ meaning ‘challenge,’ with ‘Cent,’ inspired by the painter Vincent Van Gogh, New York’s Central Park, and the English word ‘Centripetal,’ meaning centripetal force. Based on the brand spirit of ‘challenging the world from the very center,’ it presents a young and trendy casual style.

The brand proposes distinctive styles based on neutral tones, incorporating various colors inspired by everyday life, while expressing its unique sensibility through its signature color, black. Particularly notable for its high proportion of female customers, the brand is attracting the attention of young consumers with its street style and highly versatile designs for daily use, and is expanding its presence by consistently ranking high in search terms on major domestic and international fashion platforms.

Starting with the opening of its first store in Taipei, Misto Group plans to expand its offline business in Taiwan by opening additional stores in Taichung and Kaohsiung within the year. Furthermore, the company intends to broaden its sales reach in the future through online channels, including its official local online store and Shopee, a major Taiwanese e-commerce platform.

Meanwhile, the Misto Group is strengthening its retail network in Greater China by successively introducing Muscent to Taiwan, following the recent launch of JUUN.J. Leveraging its accumulated understanding of local markets and operational capabilities in distribution and retail, the group has been developing its global brand business and is using this foundation to support the overseas market entry and stable local business operations of K-fashion brands.

“With the opening of Muscent’s first store in Taiwan, we are now able to directly showcase the brand’s style and sensibility to local consumers,” said a Misto Group official. “Moving forward, based on our understanding of the local market and retail operational capabilities, we will continue to support the overseas expansion of competitive brands and continuously broaden our business scope in global markets, including Greater China.”
