Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta will each have their own retail space within the newly renovated global hub of Gap, which is located at 2 Folsom Street in San Francisco. The launch of these stores was announced by Gap, the industry leader in the retailing of clothing and accessories. Gap is a multinational brand of clothing and accessories with a straightforward, self-assured, and unfussy sense of style. Its headquarters are located in the United States.

The opening of these new establishments will bring the total amount of fashion retail space in the hip East Cut region of the city to approximately 18,000 square feet. The East Cut neighborhood is located on the Embarcadero waterfront only steps from BART, Muni, and the historic ferry station. According to a press release issued by Gap, the four new ‘laboratory’ stores are a part of the company’s two-year plan to renovate its global center.

Gap CEO Sonia Syngal and San Francisco city supervisor Matt Dorsey participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony alongside Gap brand president and CEO Mark Breitbard, Banana Republic president and CEO Sandra Stangl, Athleta president and CEO Mary Beth Laughton, Sheila Peters, Gap’s head of human resources, and Sally Gilligan, Gap’s chief growth transformation officer.

“Our customers are at the center of every business decision that we make, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome members of our local community as well as guests from all around the world to experience our four famous brands within our rebuilt San Francisco hub.” This reimagined space invites customers into the heart of our company, where our artists and designers, data scientists and technologists, sourcing and logistics experts, customer evangelists, and futurists will test new store technologies, consumer experiences, and product innovations, according to a statement released by Syngal.
