In addition to being a need, clothing and accessories can be used to reflect one’s originality, style, and personality. There has been a lot of discussion about how artificial intelligence (AI) can improve the fashion industry since the introduction of technology in fashion. AI has taken over important responsibilities in the fashion business in no time at all. To begin, AI can serve as a helpful digital assistant by suggesting clothing and accessories based on a person’s body type, height, weight, and other measurements, as well as the hottest trends in fashion. Every bit of this information is gathered in order to better serve customers and reduce the frequency of product returns, which is a huge problem when buying online.

AI boosts store productivity and sales, both in-person and online. All sales data, forecasts, returns, and purchases are kept track of to determine which retailer will need what. It also identifies colour, size, and silhouette preferences across the country to meet needs. Customers can take a photo of any item to find a lower price online. It also recommends similar goods based on client budget and preference. The clothing industry’s pollution is well-known. The fashion industry contributes 10% of worldwide carbon dioxide emissions, making it environmentally unfriendly. Due to this challenge, many companies and manufacturing units have begun focusing on raw material, product, and process sustainability. AI can reduce inventory concerns by predicting sales.

AI can also be utilized to complete monotonous jobs much more quickly and efficiently. Manufacturing involves monotonous activities including cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging. All of these jobs can be done significantly faster and cheaper by AI. AI can sew clothing reliably. AI can become the next north star for brand trend prediction and forecasting. AI merged with machine learning, data analytics, etc. will improve management and sustainability. It can be used to discover brand trends, customize shopping for customers, improve online shopping by providing virtual fitting rooms, and act as a digital assistant to track market trends. Manufacturers and retailers can use it to reduce waste. As we progress into the digital age, AI will provide value to the fashion business at all stages. The future of fashion is only a few clicks away.
